Come learn with me this September!

I am really excited to announce my first ever Vogue Knitting Live virtual workshops!

These September I’ll be giving a talk and teaching 2 workshops all around short rows and short-row colourwork. During the talk I’ll discuss what my new book – ‘Short-Row Colorwork – The Definitive Step-by-Step Guide‘ is all about, how I developed the technique, some of the key principles, how you can use the stitch dictionary and more. The talk is an hour and there’s a lot to cover, but it’ll be an interesting chat and mighty helpful if you’d like to know more about the book before buying it.

The first of the two workshops will take you through the key skills involved in this technique, and is a perfect companion to the talk or the book. I’ll demonstrate the various tricks, including knitting backwards, repairing a German short-row, grafting short rows and much more. You’ll then have the chance work through a swatch in class, and a handout will be provided.

The second workshop focuses on short rows themselves. I’ll focus on 2 key methods – GSR (german short rows) and the W&T (wrap and turn) method. We’ll look at how they differ structurally, how they can be worked and where they’re best used, how they’re grafted and more. Short rows really are magical things and I’m looking forward to sharing more of their secrets!

Booking for the classes have opened, and you can find all the details here:

Hope to see you there!
