The next part of the Great Website Rebuild has now gone live – all of my online workshops are now available here! Indeed, I have a fully-fledged learning platform, that operates just like Teachable, where you can work through your classes and have everything within your account alongside your pattern and eBook purchases.

I am really excited about this for many reasons. Teachable is a great platform if it’s a good fit for you, and it is for many, but it wasnt for me. And it ended up being quite a time and money sink. For my work, and I think it’s the same for my knitters, it’s better to have eveything in one place where it’s easier to access. The plug-in I’m using – LearnDash – is incredibly flexible, with many more options than Teachable, and it’s a fraction of the price. And it integrates fully with this site! I’m using Vimeo for video storage, which is also pretty cheap whilst being highly flexible, and I’m really happy with the result.

A while back I did email all of my Teachable students to let them know that the Hand-Knit Hat Academy would be moving, but it’s likely not everyone got the message. I’ve also mentioned it a few times in the Woolly Hat Society newsletter, but I’ve no doubt that some folks still aren’t aware.
