We’ve been prepping all week! Tom’s absolutely in his happy place setting up all the camera and lighting tech, testing and re-testing and more (he’s allowed; it’s his special interest).
Although I used to be a full-time school teacher, and although we’ve created pre-recorded workshops and I’ve given plenty of live talks, and although I’ve taught hundreds of knitting workshops around Europe over the last 19 years, my anxiety is off the charts
Probably because it is VKL, and it’s live. And because my Short-row Colorwork workshop was the first to sell out.
But all this prep? It’s giving me the confidence and extra push I need to start filming by myself, and working on all the projects I’ve been plotting since we moved home. We still need reliable internet, but thankfully fibre-to-the-house is in our near future, and before long I’ll be able to make it all possible.
We’re even talking about setting up a designated filming room, because setting up this equipment every time is a prety time consuming!
So many exciting things ahead! Right now though, I’m keen to teach my first virtual classes with Vogue Knitting Online – hope to see you there!
