GG Beanie – knitting pattern
$10.00
Just a tube topped with a circle – there’s nothing mysterious about beanie shaping, but knitting it sideways feels particularly clever. Short rows replace decreases for the crown shaping, resulting in the familiar satisfying swirl.
This pattern is available individually, or as part of the Get Garter collection eBook.Get Garter is an entry-level guide to sideways Hat knitting. Six different constructions are explained, supplemented with thorough explanations of the underlying structure and maths, empowering you to venture beyond the pattern and create your own unique Hats.
Hat Description
The Beanie in the Get Garter collection is worked sideways in garter stitch, and its shaping is created by short rows. It has a smooth fitted crown. It can be knitted with extra length to allow a fold up brim.
