Quoin – knitting pattern

$10.00

The simplest of details makes all the difference here, with the widening brim creating a notched-neck effect at the same time as hinting at cloche styling. Worked in a variegated yarn, it’s quietly charming; in a solid or gradient, the architecture comes dramatically to the fore. Available either as a single pattern or as part of the Painted Woolly Toppers collection.

Hat Description

Quoin is a modern take on a classic cloche. It features a sideways brim that starts narrow then gets gradually wider, creating an asymmetrical shape and a wedge where the ends join. The body is worked in stocking stitch and features short row wedges, highlighted by ridges of purl stitches, that create an asymmetrical shape. It has a plain fitted crown.
