Limitation of Liability:
Woolly Wormhead will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this website, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages. Furthermore, Woolly Wormhead will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the usage of the materials provided.
GPSR:
All Woolly Wormhead self-published single patterns and tutorial PDFs, and eBooks published before 2017, are created using Libre Office, an open-source software. All self-published eBooks from 2017 are created using Adobe InDesign. All files are created on devices that use up-to-date software to monitor viruses, malware, and spyware, ensuring safe and usable PDFs.
You are advised to use the latest version of a reputable PDF reader software to ensure smooth usability and printability.
All Woolly Wormhead publications are tested to ensure they are suitable for colourblind and neurodivergent users and safe for photo-sensitive users. A limited number of publications are also available for individuals with low vision. Samples of publication types can be downloaded here.
Legal:
By downloading an eBook, ePattern or eTutorial, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions, and to the copyright and licensing terms attached to these works.
Each work and its contents are fully covered by Estonian copyright law, regardless of where you live or where the pattern was downloaded. In the EU, Copyright and Design Rights are automatic and do not require registration.
Copyright:
Unless otherwise stated, the copyright to all works, including books, patterns, photography and layout (in all formats) belongs to Woolly Wormhead.
This means that no part of the work, whether it be a free pattern PDF, photos or text, any part of the book or pattern content, may be resold, distributed, uploaded, shared or stored (with the exception of a personal back-up) without the permission of the copyright holder.
Licensing:
When you purchase an eBook or ePattern, you are purchasing a licence to use the instructions to recreate the design or parts of the design, not the rights to the instructions, photographs, layout or the design itself.
Each purchase carries with it a licence that permits you to use the instructions for personal or charity use; to sell finished items made from the instructions; to use the photos commercially to redirect customers to this website for further sales; to teach from the pattern (provided one copy per student is purchased); but prevents you from converting for or entering into mass production. This licence also covers my free patterns and tutorials.
Credit must be given to Woolly Wormhead in all circumstances, and a link provided back to this website where possible.
AI Usage:
To comply with copyright and licensing terms, and to ensure adequate support to and respect for independent creators, you are not permitted to upload any Woolly Wormhead publication to AI (LLMs, including but not limited to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini). Doing so would result in a direct breach of copyright and licensing terms.
If you need technical support, ensure you download the linked tutorials. Further help is available through the Community groups, where we are more than happy to assist you.
Should you be seeking translations, please either contact me directly or use one of the Community forums to ask permission. I am continually expanding the range of languages in which my publications are available, and I am keen to know which languages are in demand.
Delivery:
All eBooks and ePatterns purchased through this website are automatically delivered as soon as payment has cleared, and a download link will be sent to the email address used for purchase. You will also find access to your purchases from your account page.
All items are sold in PDF format. An email with instructions for downloading and accessing your purchase will be sent within a few minutes of payment completion.
I’m afraid that the email address to which the emails are sent cannot be changed; please ensure the email address used is valid and frequently checked.
Each purchase is limited to 5 downloads. Opening the file in your browser from the link counts as a download, whether the file is downloaded to your device or not. Please check your device, operating system and browser settings to ensure the file is downloaded, as I am unable to renew the download credits. You can find more information on my FAQ page.
Mail Order:
I am unable to post patterns and/or books, nor can I accept payment over the telephone or by post. All purchases are completed electronically on this website, and download links are automatically sent for the PDFs of each eBook or ePattern.
Purchases of print books are enabled by external services such as Magcloud or Amazon, which handle fulfilment and shipping.
Automatic Rights:
To comply with current EU legislation, I’m required to advise you that by downloading the eBook, ePattern or eTutorial you have selected, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions, and that automatic rights to cancellation and a refund will no longer apply for purchased items once downloading has started; this is due to the nature of digital goods.
If you wish to retain your automatic rights, you need to wait 14 days before starting the download. That said, I do have a refund policy in place – please read my Sales Policy.
Guarantee:
Every pattern goes through thorough testing and editing to ensure you receive the best possible product. However, despite my Pledge, I cannot guarantee that my work will be 100% error-free, as we are only human.
Should errors be found, purchasers of eBooks and ePatterns will receive an update with corrections, free of charge.
The compatibility of each PDF is tested, and errors related to downloading or opening files are usually due to local software issues – please refer to the FAQ page for further details.
Pattern support:
All pattern support is provided on this site’s forum, in the Wormhead’s Hats Ravelry group and the Woolly Wormhead Facebook group.
A wealth of information is also available on this website, free of charge, in the Tutorials and Information sections.
I’m unable to offer support via email or any other platform other than the groups listed above.
PDF Files:
All premium eBooks, ePatterns, and eTutorials are provided in PDF format, a file type that is compatible with all devices and operating systems. Please check your spam folder before contacting me regarding undelivered patterns.
You are advised to make a back-up copy of the eBook or ePattern file in case of loss or corruption. In these circumstances, proof of purchase (such as an email receipt or the purchase email address with an approximate date) is required before a replacement copy is sent.
